About the Cover
68 game bài sunwinLiên kết đăng nhậpWe are proud to feature The Luxury Line on the cover of the February Breeding issue of GoMag. “Louis” is a 16.3 hand, five-year-old AQHA stallion sired by the legendary Allocate Your Assets and out of Congress Champion Spurz N Diamonds.

Owned by Beth Hartman and under the guidance of Baker Futurity Horses, this young stallion has already enjoyed a stellar show career winning an AQHA World Championship in the Junior Hunter Under Saddle last November with Dawn Baker. He is also a Congress Champion, NSBA Reserve World Champion and winner of the Open 3YO Hunter Under Saddle Stakes at the AQHA World Show.

“The Junior Hunter Under Saddle AQHA World Championship has to be my most memorable,” proud owner, Beth Hartman told us. “After the excitement settled, Dawn looked at me and said, ‘When we rode into the pen, I knew we had it, I just needed to stay out of his way.’ That is the epitome of a true show horse, one that knows his job, does it well and does it right.”

Beth’s daughter Haley Hartman agrees and adds, “The AQHA World Show win in the Junior Hunter Under Saddle was pretty special. It’s always an honor to win such a tough and prestigious class at that level. Also, being Louis and Dawn’s last time showing before he moved on to breeding, it was a bittersweet win.”

Beth says that after first owning the AQHA World Champion gelding Al Fool Ya, another horse sired by Allocate Your Assets was always in the cards. It had to be the right one, and Louis fit the bill perfectly.

As the story goes, Dawn sent Beth a video of a yearling in early December 2020 and said, “‘We need to go see this one, he won’t last.’ So, we flew to Katy Jo and Tim Zuidema’s to look at him. There were some amazing moments watching him go around the round pen and thinking, wow, look at that! We had a nice celebratory toast at their house, and we left Florida with The Luxury Line as our possible stud prospect.”

According to his breeder Courtney Battison, Louis also comes from a very strong dam side, “His dam, Congress Champion Spurz N Diamonds is sired by Hot N Blazing, who is no stranger with his $1.4 million in offspring earnings and is an NSBA Hall of Fame sire. Additionally, her dam is Sonny Cool Jazz, who was an AQHA World Champion and Reserve Congress Champion.”

Hartman says that Louis is the total package and encourages mare owners to breed their top mares to this outstanding young stallion.

“He’s the stallion that is going to keep and continue to build on the legacy of these two legendary lines. He is great-minded and very willing. Louis is so fun to show and has so much try. He has an aura about him that makes him so special and so fun to be around. His attitude and willingness to please is a great trait that he will hopefully pass to his foals.”

Hartman says that Louis would like to thank his veterinarians, Dr. Peter Meuse and the late Dr. Kathleen Lennon, farriers David Blyer and Adam Matthews, Gavin Young, Brian Baker, Haley Hartman, and Trish Yamber for riding him at just the right time, Ashley Getsay for always making him look beautiful on show days, and all the amazing help at the Baker’s barn for the care they provided. Lastly, to Dawn for taking Louis from a yearling to the champion stud that he was meant to be.

The Luxury Line will stand the 2024 breeding season at EE Ranches in Whitesboro, Texas. “Louis is a very intelligent and easy-to-handle stallion with excellent semen quality,” says EE Ranches Breeding Manager Steve Adams. “We are excited to add him to the EE stallion roster for the 2024 season.”

Interested parties may contact EE Ranches at (903)564-3692 for more information on breeding to The Luxury Line.
